CoastWA training series underway

The CoastWA training series kicked off in July and August, with the first three modules presented to coastal land managers.

The training series aims to increase understanding of coastal processes and coastal hazard risk management and adaptation planning (CHRMAP) amongst coastal land managers such as local government officers, other stakeholders including State government agencies, and the broader community.

The modules were presented through in-person and online sessions, covering the following topics:
• Coastal processes and how they affect shorelines
• Coastal protection works
• Benefit distribution analysis.

All three modules include a video presentation, PowerPoint slides and fact sheets which are now available online here. The next three modules will be delivered in early 2024.
